Chelsea are set to earn £40 million per year from Stake after ending its partnership with Three, the former shirt sponsors. Stake is an 18+ online platform that facilitates gambling activities.

Initially, Chelsea attempted to strike a deal with Allianz, a German multinational financial services company. However, negotiations fell through as Allianz were only willing to pay £20 million annually, which is half of what the former sponsors, Three, paid. Unwilling to settle for a lesser offer, Chelsea turned their attention to Stake, who offered double the amount.

This development has faced criticism from some fans who believe that a club of Chelsea's stature should not associate with a company involved in the gambling industry. Starting from the 2025/26 season, gambling sponsors will be banned from the Premier League.

Due to this agreement, Chelsea will not be able to sell kids' sizes of their shirts to prevent children from displaying the logo of a betting company. Only adult-sized shirts will be available for purchase. Therefore, if you require a smaller size, such as those for kids, an authentic jersey will not be available for you to purchase.

Stake are also the current shirt sponsor of Everton. Chelsea aim to address these negative feedbacks by delivering an improved performance in the upcoming season.
